Salomi Kruger appointed MD of leading Sage training partner, Applico

CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA – 17 AUGUST 2021 – The AWCape Group has appointed Salomi Kruger as the new MD of Applico; a Sage Authorised Learning Partner and Delivery Centre that offers training, implementation, and support services for technology products, including solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and Sage business solutions.

Applico offers its services in South Africa, South African Development Community (SADC) countries, and the Middle East.

Before joining Applico, Kruger was a senior training specialist and consultant at Sage Cape Town for nearly a decade, specialising in Excel and business intelligence. Before that, she worked in the finance industry in London for eight years. She holds a BTech in Marketing from Nelson Mandela University and is completing a BCom in Management Accountancy with Unisa.

Applico is a B-BBEE level 2 Contributor and offers training solutions independently and in partnership with AWCape Group sister companies, AWPower and AWCape. AWCape is one of the foremost consulting, implementation, and cloud hosting partners for Sage Intacct, Sage 300cloud (formerly known as Sage ERP Accpac), and Sage 300 People, while AWPower is a leader in solar energy solutions in the Western Cape, Gauteng and surrounds.

Applico runs all classroom training for Sage solutions in Cape Town. It offers classroom, virtual, and on-site customer training from its premises at Greenford Office Estate, Kenilworth. Specific emphasis is placed on creating a safe environment that conforms to strict COVID-19 protocols. The building is solar PV equipped to ensure uninterrupted classroom/virtual training during load shedding.

Kruger’s appointment forms part of a more comprehensive set of management changes that will position AWCape and Applico to accelerate its strategic growth over the next few years.

Henri Hattingh, founder of Applico 35 years ago and the former CEO of the AWCape Sage consulting business, has taken the role of group chairman. Former Applico MD, Madeleine Hattingh, has moved into AWCape Group’s Legal and HR Advisor position.
